Paul R. Kach, 33°, Essay National Winners

Region I DeMolay is proud to announce that both the National Winners for this year’s Paul R. Kach, 33o, DeMolay Essay Competition come from Region I. There are two categories for the competition; one for DeMolays who are in the 11th grade and above, and one for those who are in the 10th grade or below.

Region I DeMolay congratulates Bro. Justin Cargill of Benjamin Franklin Chapter in Grafton, MA as the Region I and National Winner for the 11th grade and above category and Bro. Michael Ward of John Eliot Chapter in Natick, MA as the Region I and National Winner for the 10th grade and below category. These young men used the power of language to write essays on the theme of “Elevating Brotherhood: What is the difference between a friend and brother?” The content produced by these young men was thoughtful, intelligent, and passionate.

The Paul R. Kach Essay Competition awards $300 to each Region winner (2 winners from each of the 8 Regions) and $1,200 for the national winners (2 national winners). For these two national winners, their combined winnings are $1,500 each!
