My First LTC Experience

At first, I was a bit wary about coming to LTC as it was the first time I had been somewhere with DeMolay for more than three days. Soon after I arrived, however, I met my chapter and I was having more fun than I had had in awhile. Everyone in my chapter brought their own characteristics and abilities to the group.

The food was amazing, especially dessert, and the lake was warm and comfortable. It was lots of fun meeting my fellow brothers from all over Region One. I made many new friends I won’t soon forget. I learned many new things from my chapter and hope to apply them when I return to my chapter.

Water polo was a blast for all involved. Dodgeball was both competitive and fun. The sports brought all members closer together and were fun for all players. The sports taught me new ways of thinking and new ways of applying those ideas to fun activities.

The classes brought all sorts of knowledge to my mind. I learned valuable skills such as how to plan a term and how to earn awards such as the PMC-MSA, or the Past Master Councilor Meritorious Service Award. I learned about Masons and the similarities between them and DeMolay. I intend to bring this newfound knowledge home to my chapter and use it to help my fellow DeMolays who could not attend. Overall, LTC is a blast and anyone who gets the chance should attend.
