DeMolay/Rainbow Membership Conference -Sunday, December 4th 1PM to 4 PM New Haven Temple

Membership is an on going challenge to all chapters and assemblies. The minute one is going well and we relax we all of a sudden look around and realize many have moved on. Sometimes they age out, go to school or just lose interest.

Whatever the case we cannot rest on our past successes. If we want to build our membership for the future then we must do it one new member at a time and once that member is there we must instill the excitement to keep them.

A joint Committee of Rainbow and DeMolay leaders is hard at work designing this conference for you. Please work hard to make sure you and your entire chapter attend.

The program will include three separate tracks.

  • Track 1     Members under two years
  • Track 2     Chapter Officers and Councilors
  • Track 3     Advisors

Membership/Prospect Recruitment Events - Want to run that dynamic prospect event, learn where to get potential members from, how to invite them to your event and how to get them to sign a petition. All attendees will be schooled in the most efficient ways these events occur.

Selling DeMolay - will include the seven elements of a sale, how to close the deal and how to deal with objections. This is a critical piece of our recruitment efforts that often gets missed or not even thought about. This conference will train you to be that sales person.

Keeping it Fun - Keeping our members - So now new members have joined, how do we keep them. The conference will work on ways to stay in DeMolay and Rainbow. What are the fun events, when is education about DeMolay culture critical, how should a chapters activities impact keeping members, where do the lessons and examples fit in to an overall program will be some of the topics you will work on at this conference.

The conference will also include fun and educational activities that build communication and leadership skills necessary to make your program work.

It is an expectation that all chapters in Connecticut participate; none of us are in such great shape that we can't use some new ways or ideas.

Please send your list of attendees, broken out by each group to eo@ctdemolay.com no later than Saturday November 26th.

Dad Training

Sunday, Nov. 6th

1 - 4:30 pm

We will hold our next Dad Training at the Hartog Center of Ashlar Village in Wallingford, Auditorium C on Sunday November 6th. Many of you have new advisors for the coming year. This is the time to get them trained so that we can send in their certification forms the same time we send in our renewals.

Dads and Chairman Meeting

Sunday, Nov. 6th  at 5 PM

Our next Chapter Dads and Chairman Meeting will be November 6th at 5 PM immediately following DAD Training.

As a general rule only Chapter Dads and Chairman come to this meeting but I would like to invite any advisor who wishes to be present. These meetings are generally a good discussion about the direction of where Connecticut DeMolay is going. It is at these meetings that I get meaningful feedback from all chapters about our DeMolay program and from there that we formulate our policy. Please RSVP to hneedham3@gmail.com

Auvergne Chapter 2011 Degrees

Saturday, Dec. 3rd, New Haven

5 PM Initiatory Degree then dinner, 7 PM DeMolay Degree

Auvergne Chapter (Honorary DeMolays) are now recruiting new Master Masons to become their newest members

This past conclave in July saw Auvergne members recognized and participating in DeMolay activities. They were a fantastic support. With this class will come an agenda for future program. We will now elect officers and begin a program of support for Connecticut DeMolay. One of our first programs will be to enhance the Advertising Journal for our annual Conclave. The funds raised from this journal are critical to sending our state officers to the International Supreme Council and DeMolay Congress every year and well as supporting their sports programs throughout the year.

A petition may be found by clicking here
